Meet Our Therapists and Family Coaches

Shanon Greig

Shanon is a Clinical Social Work intern pursuing her Joint MSW degree at UNCG and A&T in Greensboro. Prior to enrolling in her Master’s program, Shanon worked as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in skilled nursing and home health environments serving Geriatric and adult populations. She also holds a 200-hour yoga teacher training certificate and has taught yoga-inspired movement and mindfulness since 2017.

Shanon is passionate about the mind-body connection and believes each person’s body is home to deep wisdom and healing. She incorporates somatic and breathwork practices to help clients access a calm nervous system, encouraging a sense of connection with their bodies and the experiences they hold. Shanon meets her clients where they are by drawing out their unique strengths, resilience, inner knowing, and mastery of their own lives. Her therapeutic approach encompasses spirituality, trauma-informed, acceptance and commitment, narrative, strengths-based, mindfulness, and cognitive behavioral therapy lenses. Her hope is to empower clients to recognize their innate wholeness and shed patterns that no longer serve them. She asserts everyone has the potential for transformation and healing, and seeks to support clients in fully knowing themselves by creating an environment of acceptance, compassion, and trust.
