Family Services offers several ways to meet your charitable objectives.
Every gift, regardless of size, from individuals of modest means as well as those with substantial wealth, is meaningful to our clients and greatly appreciated.

Make a Tax-Deductible Charitable Donation

Honor or Celebrate Someone Special
By making a tribute gift to Family Services, you not only honor an important event or person, you also enhance the life of someone who will receive a needed service because of your generosity. Tribute and memorial donations of $25 or more to Family Services will notify the person or family of your thoughtful gift. All donors are acknowledged in our annual report.
Make an In-Kind Donation
Head Start, Early Head Start and the Family Services Shelter are always in need of donated items. Your support during the holiday season can really make a difference. For ideas, visit the Shelter Holiday Wish List. For a general “wish list,” call Family Services at (336) 722-8173.
Make a Planned Gift
Making a planned gift is a wonderful way to show your support and appreciation for Family Services and its mission while accommodating your own personal, financial, estate-planning, and philanthropic goals.
Host a Friend-Raiser

Fundraise on Behalf of Family Services
We welcome groups and individuals who want to fundraise on behalf of Family Services. Have an idea for a fundraising event? Fill out our Event Proposal Form (PDF). We’ll determine whether the event is an appropriate fit with our mission and work with you to designate proceeds to Family Services.
Participate in a Collection Drive

Donate Your Gift Cards
Family Services appreciates donations of gift cards to help our clients purchase household needs, food, clothing, and personal items. $10, $20 and $25 denominations are preferred.
Donate Cell Phones
We accept used cell phones, smartphones, iPods and iPads at our Family Services Gateway location. Please make sure that the batteries are included with the phones. We cannot accept chargers at this time. The phones are refurbished by a third party organization that makes a donation to Family Services based on the number and type of phones collected. Since 2002, Family Services has earned $37,626.25 from cell phone donations!
