Bianca Adkins-Tarlton

Bianca is a Clinical Mental Health Counseling intern currently pursuing her MS in counseling with a concentration in couple and family therapy at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.  She is interested in working with individuals of all ages, couples and families. Bianca is committed to empowering people to find their true selves in their journey of self-discovery and acceptance by providing a safe and supportive environment to explore their own thoughts and feelings.  Using a person-centered, strengths-based approach, she works alongside her clients to help them discover their own solutions and achieve holistic wellness.

Before pursuing a career in counseling, Bianca was an elementary school teacher for over 20 years, specializing in English as a Second Language (ESL) education.  She also has extensive experience working with preschool children and most recently, university students in a clinical setting.

Bianca earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the College of William and Mary and an MSEd from Old Dominion University.  She is currently pursuing specialized training in the Gottman method for couples and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
