Private Childcare

What happens by age five lasts a lifetime.

Our school readiness approach focuses on the development of young minds during the first five years, when a child’s brain is rapidly forming. We reinforce this approach by engaging parents and families in their child’s development and learning.

Our school readiness goals are aligned with the North Carolina Early Learning Guidelines and the local school system. We use the evidence-based Creative Curriculum and Teaching Strategies GOLD—a valid and reliable ongoing assessment instrument—to guide our teaching methods. Our Pre-K services are aligned with the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School’s calendar, and services are provided year-round.

Location

Our newest center, Family Services Child Development Center at 1411 S. Broad Street, Winston-Salem, opened in September 2021.

This state-of-the-art facility is convenient for families in the Washington Park area as well as for parents working downtown or at nearby colleges, universities, medical facilities, and other employers.
