Common Ground Event Series

Get ready to be inspired and see how we all come together to be a Community of Solutions! n honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Family Services is pleased to host not one - but two Common Ground events this October. Each event will provide valuable insights, highlight community partnerships, and share updates on how we’re working together to create a stronger, safer Forsyth County. Tuesday, October 7: Safe Relationships - Our Safe Relationships division provides immediate and compassionate response through a 24-hour crisis hotline, hospital and court accompaniment, safety planning, and emergency shelter. Come learn about skills to build safe, healthy relationships and services offered at Family Services for those in crisis. Thursday, October 9: Child Advocacy Center - The CAC is a safe, confidential, and child-friendly space for children up to age 17 and developmentally or cognitively challenged adults who may have been victims or witnesses of serious crimes. Learn how this community resource is helping children and families in Forsyth County. Together, we are offering best practices to reduce stress and trauma for individuals and families experiencing domestic violence and building a stronger, healthier, and safer community - from the ground up.
