Skylar Robinson

Skylar Robinson (she/her) is a Counseling Intern from the University of North Carolina – Greensboro. Skylar works from a client-centered and trauma-informed approach with children and teens who experience anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral concerns, family conflict, and social-emotional needs. Skylar strives to create an open and safe space for collaborative care that will create meaningful change toward a client’s goals. She believes that meaningful change comes through a therapeutic relationship centered around genuineness, empathy, and unconditional acceptance. Skylar enjoys helping young children feel heard and understood through fostering a genuine and safe therapeutic relationship full of emotional validation and social skills development.

Skylar is in her second year in the Clinical Mental Health M.S. program at the University of North Carolina – Greensboro. She has a B.S. in Psychology from Charleston Southern University. Skylar is a part of the 2022 Child, Adolescent, and Family Behavioral Health Fellowship with the Center of Excellence for Integrated Care in North Carolina.
