Advocates break down different avenues victims of domestic violence can take to remain safe
Family Services’ Safe on Seven program manager Meredith Hooks said victims of domestic violence rarely know how much danger they’re actually in.
“The most dangerous time for a victim of domestic violence is when she is leaving or has just left,” Hooks said. “Our job is to help victims be safe, whatever that looks like for them.”
