Featuring social scientist and society and child advocate Dr. Robert Putnam
The American Dream in Crisis”
Tuesday, November 1, 2016
Marriott, Downtown Winston-Salem.
Family Services will host acclaimed author Dr. Robert Putnam to Winston-Salem to kick off the first annual Raising Every Child community event. Putnam is a nationally recognized social scientist whose public advocacy for creating a just and prosperous society has ignited communities across the US to address issues that are vital to improving the lives of disadvantaged children and families.
He will present his startling examination of the growing inequality gap and its impact on the future of our country at a ticketed luncheon, Tuesday, November 1, 2016, that will be held at the Marriott Downtown.
Putnam’s presentation, “Our Kids: The American Dream in Crisis,” based on his 2015 New York Times bestselling book by the same title, will engage city leaders and visionaries who will be called upon to collaborate and innovate in order to ensure that all children have the opportunity to reach their full potential.
