At a recent meeting of the Raising Every Child capital campaign cabinet, co-chairs Bill and Peggy Reingold gave high praise to Family Services employees for their outstanding support. To date, 93% of Family Services staff raised $67,848 to address pressing needs of Forsyth County’s most vulnerable population, children ages 0 to 5.
Nicole Alford, Counseling Program Manager, and Brandi Covington, Professional Development Coordinator, led the employee campaign, setting a goal of $25,000. A dollar-for-dollar matching challenge from Shelby and Lee Chaden inspired employees to not only meet their challenge but to surpass the employee goal by more than $17,000.
Family Services employees 160 across several program and service areas, with nearly two-thirds of the agency’s staff employed to advance the agency’s Head Start and Early Head Start child development programs.
