Thank goodness the federal government has come through with a $2.2 million grant for Forsyth County’s Family Services to start an Early Head Start program in September. Family Services was left out of the initial grant announcements in December, but the organization announced Tuesday that it made the final cut, the Journal’s Arika Herron reported. The grant will be used to create educational and development classes for 120 infants and toddlers as well as family development classes for their parents.
