We want to congratulate Rebecca Nagaishi, our director of clinical services, on her 40 years with Family Services! She is a licensed clinical social worker in the State of North Carolina; she has 30 years of experience as one of the agency’s family counselors, program director of the Pregnancy Counseling and Adoption program and master trainer for the Infant Adoption Awareness Project. In 2008, Rebecca became director of the Family Solutions division with oversight for the outpatient counseling program, Strengthening Families Program, and adoption program. In 2017 she became acting director of Clinical Services, which includes oversight of the Safe Relationships division. In additional to her executive leadership role, she continues direct service work in post-adoption services, providing confidential intermediary services to adoptive parents, adopted persons and birth parents.
Rebecca has been one of the visionaries behind establishing the Family Justice Center here in Forsyth County, modeled after the one in Guildford County. The Family Justice Center will be a “one stop shop” for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse and elder abuse. With all of these resources available under one roof we are able to help more people get the assistance they need. Thank you Rebecca for all of your hard work and for seeing this vision through, because of you we are able to help more women, children, and families in need.
