Coordinates the agency’s engagement with the community regarding domestic violence and sexual assault issues. Leads and/or facilitates community-wide efforts to improve services to victims and reduce the incidence of domestic violence and sexual assault. Works with specific populations in order to design and implement targeted intervention and prevention activities.
The Family Advocate works with families to establish and achieve family goals that improve each child’s school readiness. Efficiently and effectively implements quality family engagement activities involving parents and children from the diverse population served, in compliance with the Head Start/Early Head Start Parent, Family, and Community Engagement Framework.
Directs compassionate services that will strengthen the well-being and recovery of domestic violence victims by alleviating stressful situations and providing resources that will respond to the victims’ needs while helping to increase the responsiveness by the larger community to the issue.
Provides compassionate services that strengthen the well being and safety of victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and child maltreatment. Directs information, advocacy, and supportive services that allow individuals and families to make informed decisions. Offers clients support, advocacy, and intervention to adults affected by domestic violence offenders.
